Only 10% of truck drivers in the United States are women, Ramona Brantley is traveling on her own path in this profession. With over 20 years of experience as a driver, she purchased her own truck and registered a small business in 2021. Taking control of her future and being able to manage her time while counting and investing her profits.
Ramona’s love of driving has motivated her success in this “male dominated” field but she is keenly aware that the lucrative trucking industry can fluctuate based on fuel cost, insurance, overall cost of maintenance.
Ramona is very comfortable being her own boss. She has diversified her skill set to include financial planning and spa services (hair removal). Yes, Ramona upgrades her skills while she is on the road. As her business grew, expanded, and took on new directions, Ramona interacted with other clients of the Florida Women Women’s Business Center and became a mentor, sounding board and inspiration.
